Young Fathers Network

Young Father and Child

In a nut shell, at Young Fathers Network (YFN) we have created an information service that any young dad and their families can easily access.

The Network aims to offer young men that are already or are about to become fathers, a no barrier, easy access pathway to assistance that will help them become better dads.

In return we will listen to what you tell us and consequently be better able to offer young dads more effective support.

Basically this will help us learn how to adapt what we should be offering you and then pass on this information to other service providers, and I believe offer you something that you'll want to be part of.

Rob Cannicott.

Access to the YFN couldn't be simpler, all you have to do is give us a call, text or email the address below and one of the worker's will get back to you. This could be a face to face meeting, advice over the phone or emailing your questions to YFN and we'll do our best to put you next to the information you need.

But that's not all, you might be wanting to be put in touch with other people in the same position? Sometimes, (in Devon, UK where the YFN began) young dads where isolated by where they live or might not have the spare money and time to get around, well we can help with that to. We have links to loads of dads group's and general information for men that might suit your situation.

The YFN can offer you a confidential or anonymous service if you prefer.

Some of the everyday questions that the YFN can offer help with;

  • Financial concerns such as help understanding tax credit limits.
  • Help finding work.
  • Access to relevant education and training opportunities.
  • Development of personal identity and self worth.
  • To gain and exchange information regarding parenting.
  • To gain and exchange information regarding life experiences.
  • Through multi-agency partnerships assistance to find specific relevant and effective support and intervention.
